I chose the Monarch Butterfly Migration as my event for this six week online course, Expressive Type Design. ~ Why?

In my past experiences teaching Early Childhood learners, Monarch Migration is an event that I would create interactive lessons and making experiences about each Spring. It is something I continue to be fascinated by and that makes me really appreciate being an educator. While it’s my job to facilitate learning, it’s unavoidable that I learn something new too; every time, no exceptions. If you wondered why I like teaching, this is a very large part of it:; serendipitous, beautiful, and sometimes silly. On a serious note, experiences like the one documented throughout this site of mine illustrate these varied chances I have to engage with it in my own creative process. An opportunity to be the student too.
